What is the promotion?
Collect 3,500 coupons from valid issues of The Scottish Sun throughout the promotional period to receive a set of free books for your school.
How long is the promotion running for?
Coupons will be printed in The Scottish Sun between 23rd September and 18th November 2018.
HOW TO ENTER
How do I enter the promotion?
- Register your school on the promotional website - www.scottishsunfreebooksforschools.co.uk (one registration per school) between 3rd and 5th October 2018.
- Collect 3,500 coupons from valid issues of The Scottish Sun between 23rd September and 18th November.
- Send your coupons by recorded delivery to Scottish Sun Free Books for Schools, PO BOX 13263, Nether Road, Galashiels, TD1 9AJ before 3rd December 2018.
Do I need to be connected to the internet to enter the promotion?
Internet connection is required to register your school for the promotion.
Where can I find the coupons?
Coupons can be found in issues of The Scottish Sun and The Scottish Sun on Sunday.
Am I eligible to register?
To register your school you must be over the age of 18 and be employed by the school you are trying to register. A valid school email address and phone number will be required to register your school for this promotion.
Do I need to purchase The Scottish Sun?
Yes, this promotion requires you to purchase copies of the paper and cut out and collect the coupons from inside.
Can I register my school more than once?
No, each school can only be registered once. Once it has been registered for the promotion it cannot be registered again.
A valid school email address and phone number will be required to register your school.
I work for a school outside of Scotland, can I still register?
Only employees of schools based within Scotland and the Highlands are eligible to register for this promotion.
How do I know if my school is registered?
Once a school has been registered on the promotional website it will not be able to be registered again. A confirmation of registration will be sent to the official email address provided. If you are unsure whether your school has been registered you can contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org to check.
THE FREE BOOKS
What books are available?
All schools that have registered and send in the required 3,500 coupons will receive a set of Collins Big Cat Learning Library Books. This set is composed of 105 books suitable for children in P1 through to P7. A full list of the books can be found here
Can I change any of the books?
No, the collection of books is a set selection. However additional books can be ordered from HarperCollins direct.
How many sets of books are available?
There is one set of books available per school.

How do I send my coupons in?
All coupons need to be posted back by recorded delivery to:

By 3rd December 2018.
and don’t forget to include the name of your school with your tokens.
How will I know if I have collected enough coupons?
We recommend that you count all coupons before sending them back to The Scottish Sun.
Once they are received back to us we will also check them.
All schools that have successfully collected enough coupons will receive a confirmation email on 17th December 2018 letting them know that they will be getting the books.
When will my school get their books?
All books will be received no later than 31st January 2019.
I’m having trouble entering my details. What should I do?
Please make sure you’re following all the on-screen directions carefully, and that you’re entering all fields marked with and asterisk (*). Any mistakes or errors you will be prompted online. If you’re still having problems, please contact the Scottish Sun Free Books for Schools consumer care team by email at: email@example.com.
My computer / the website crashed as I was entering my details to register my school, how will I know if I’ve registered successfully?
A valid entry has been made if:
- All fields were completed and a confirmation box appeared.
- If you have successfully registered, you will also be sent a confirmation email including further details of the promotion.
- If your computer or the website crashes during this process, please revisit the website and try to register again. If your previous registration was not completed you will be able to register again. If you continue to experience problems, please get in touch with our Consumer Care team by email at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The website isn’t loading / working properly. What should I do?
Please refresh your browser and try to access the page again. It may be that you need to clear your cache by holding down ‘CTRL’ and pressing ‘F5’; this consists of data stored by your computer to enable similar future actions to be completed quicker. If you experience problems on one device, please try on another. If you experience problems with one browser then please try and alternative browser. If you continue to experience problems, please get in touch with our Consumer Care team by email at: email@example.com
I think I might have entered the wrong details. What should I do?
If you believe you may have entered your details incorrectly, you can contact our Consumer Care team by email at: firstname.lastname@example.org but the promotor or its fulfilment agency cannot be held responsible for non-delivery of the promotional items caused by the provision of wrong information.
